The Township is governed by three locally elected Supervisors. Since Chestnuthill’s inception, the Township has been focused on providing quality municipal services to its residents. In addition, the Township Road Department maintains 155 miles of roadway, making road maintenance a significant focus. Chestnuthill Township is located in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, and is the second largest township in the County, with a population of 17,156 residents and a total landmass of 37.6 square miles.
As the Township continues to grow, farming still remains an important part of the community however, businesses have developed to meet the needs of a growing population.
